WorkWork is founded by Hayley Markham and Pete Neill, two of the founders of Code Camp.
Drawing on their backgrounds in education, technology, and curriculum design, they’re extremely passionate about equipping teens with the skills, confidence, and mindset to succeed in their first jobs.
Hayley is a founder of WorkWork and previously co-founded Code Camp, Australia’s highest rated school holiday camp, reaching over 200,000 students across four countries. As a mother of three teenage daughters, she has seen first-hand how teens often enter the real world without the confidence or practical skills they need to succeed in their first jobs. That insight is the driving force behind WorkWork—equipping young people with the communication, initiative, an job readiness to thrive beyond the classroom.
Pete Neill is a founder of WorkWork and previously co-founded Code Camp. He also created Stashd, a fashion app featured by Apple and used in over 100 countries. Earlier, Pete worked as an English teacher, building a strong foundation in pedagogy and instructional design. At WorkWork, he combines his experience in education, tech, and entrepreneurship to help teens develop the confidence and skills needed for their first jobs.
A key part of what makes WorkWork workshops so engaging is the involvement of our incredible young staff—many of whom are former participants, university students, or early-career professionals themselves. They bring energy, relatability, and real-world insights that help bridge the gap between school and work. Acting as near-peer role models, they show students what’s possible just a few steps ahead, making the idea of getting a job feel more achievable, relevant, and real.
